Carpet Care

Our Carpet Cleaning Difference

Our technicians are trained to use the best techniques to care for your carpet. Many of our competitors use a one step carpet cleaning process where the cleaning shampoo is mixed with water, sprayed down, and then vacuumed up in one step. This method leaves much of the cleaning agent in the carpet and does not give time for the cleaning agent to break down and loosen the soil.

ServiceMaster of Kalamazoo uses a two-step cleaning process where the carpet cleaning agent is first applied to the carpet and allowed to sit for approximately ten minutes. This gives the cleaning agent time to break down and loosen the dirt that is in the carpet. We then complete the cleaning by rinse extracting the carpet with clear, softened, hot water. This second step leaves the carpet virtually free of any cleaning agent.

So What?

This extra step may seem quite ordinary, however many companies will rinse and extract a carpet using a water and detergent mixture in one step. They do not perform a clear water rinse. A one step carpet cleaning process will cause carpets to wear down and soil faster. ServiceMaster of Kalamazoo, by cleaning carpets with a two step process, helps add value to your carpet cleaning budget as your carpet will retain its clean look longer.
